About

Born and raised in Cebu, Philippines, John Monic Delante is a visual artist based in Toronto, Canada. His practice explores notions of home, belonging, and identity through photography and image-making. Engaging memory, temporal shifts, and the tension between intimacy and distance, his work considers how images hold, lose, and reconstruct meaning over time. He received a BFA in Photography Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2022 and has exhibited work at Gallery 44, Latcham Art Centre, the plumb, and Artspace TMU.
