About

Born and raised in Cebu, Philippines, John Delante (b. 1998) is a visual artist based in Toronto, Canada. His practice explores home, belonging, and identity through photography and image-making. Engaging memory, temporal shifts, and the tension between intimacy and distance, his work considers how objects, environments, and relationships shape one’s sense of self and gesture toward speculative futures. He earned a BFA in Photography Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2022 and has exhibited at Gallery 44, Latcham Art Centre, and Artspace TMU.
