manhid sa isa’t isa (numb to each other) is a visual series depicting an unrequited affection within a couple. This commission project draws inspiration from the traditional Filipino courtship, where a suitor passionately expresses their romantic interest through poetic verses in unsung serenades, heartfelt letters penned with affection, and gift-giving. These images simply portray the evolution of romantic pursuit, highlighting dynamic of an unreciprocated affection.
